A Memorizer of complete Holy Qur’an – Uthman Uthman Ayinde from Kwara State who won second position in the 2023 National Qur’an Recitation Competition held in Damanturu – Yobe State, yesterday departed Abuja to Algeria to participate in this year’s International Qur’an Memorization Competition taking place in that Country.
His selection was at the instance of the Usmanu Dan Fodiyo University Sokoto the authorised Organizers of National Qur’an Memorization Competition in Nigeria.
A statement signed by the Chairman of Kwara State Committee on Qur’an Memorization Competition – Alhaji Shehu Abdul-Gafar – the Danmadami of Ilorin, stated that while in Algeria, Uthman Uthman Ayinde would join his counterparts from various Nations of the world to compete in one of the highest categories of the International Competition featuring memorization of complete Holy Qur’an with Tajwid.
Algerian Government started the International Competition over 10 years ago to encourage muslim youths to memorise the Holy Book for future prosperity of the whole world.
Uthman Uthman Ayinde had in the past won several prizes for Kwara State in the National Competitions held across Nigeria in the lower categories before winning the last one in Yobe State in 2023 to represent Nigeria in Algeria.
