Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has sent its message of sympathy to the Emir of Ilorin, the people and Government of Kwara State on the death of the Chief Imam of Ilorin – Sheikh (Dr.) Muhammad Bashir Imam Salihu OON which occured on Monday, 19th January 2026.
In a condolence message signed by the National Coordinator of the Group Alh. Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Group described the departed Imam as God-fearing Scholar who devoted his life to the service of Allah and humanity in general.
The Group commiserated with family of the Chief Imam and prayed Almighty Allah to take good care of them.
The Group also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed Chief Imam His total forgiveness with Al-Jannatul-Firdaous as his place of abode.
