Sometime last year, I dropped a snippet on my Facebook page where I wrote – “ILORIN, we are the holders of the sceptre of authority to the kingdom of Islamic knowledge and our most indelible culture remains Islam. If you want to understand us, you must first respect our unique existence and appreciate our balancing equilibrium. No such other community in Nigeria is the connecting confluence between the culture of the north and the nurture of the south. We are bridge builders of harmony and we are unequal in our uniqueness”.
That snippet was informed by the repeated query from the intruding “outsiders” on what ILORIN represents in the comity of ethnic nations. Their confusion is not necessarily the lack of knowledge but the mischief in the application of this knowledge; to look for every possible excuse to question the status of ILORIN. It is a needless and over-flogged roller-coaster of disrespect, envy and hatred for Islam and peaceful Ilorin.
My snippet made an emphatic fact on the status of ILORIN, what we basically represent and who we are as a people, strictly speaking. The status has not changed and will never change, not now, no ever. Those who don’t know ILORIN think we belong to the past they always desperately attempt to past on us. No, ILORIN belongs to the present and future and present and the future is ISLAM as it was since the existence of humanity.
Therefore, it is not surprising that the enemies of Islam who have failed at different attempts to infiltrate the citadel of Islamic knowledge, piety and practice – ILORIN – are regrouping under the cover of cursed idol worshiping to wage a proxy war against Islam. Surprisingly, those among them who don’t worship idol, but for their hatred against Islam have joined the bandwagon of the vituperations. Al-Qur’an Kareem can’t be wrong – there is nothing you do to please the enemies of Islam that will satisfy them enough to respect and leave Islam and Muslims alone. They always pay back our kindness to them with wickedness.
Many like minds of evil wishes have been joining forces to wage a needless war against Islam, making all sorts of provocative utterances. The unknowledgeable ignorant so-called “liberal Muslims” are buying the false preaches of similarity between Islam and others. No. Islam is not like others and Allah Subhanahu Watahala cursed the hypocrites who are neither here nor there – the Thumman Hammanu, Thumman Kaffirus – the Musebisebinahs – the hypocrites.
Pathetically all these hypocrites who kept quiet when one deranged cursed soul desecrated the Holy Qur’an have suddenly found their voices to “defend human rights”. They all applauded him, ignoring the danger of that action to the collective peace of even the entire world. Did you not see how the desecration of the Holy Qur’an once caused serious international crises between the Muslim world and others. Do you have to desecrate other religion’s scripture to prove your loyalty to fraternity, let alone doing it openly?.
If only they (the deliberate attackers and the hypocritical ignoramus) know the implications of these actions and the likely consequences of events, they will desist from further complications and conspiracies.
Let me repeat. ILORIN IS ISLAM and ISLAM IS WHAT ILORIN REPRESENTS. Our language may be the same and our social culture may appear same but, for us, nothing comes before ISLAM and after ISLAM. To the ignoramus who consider our royalty as “northern” and “slavish’, you are only as ignorant as your antagonism of Islamic principles and ideas. Our garb is a display of our Islamic values and we can’t trade anything for it. Walahi, nothing will take our ISLAM away from us. We will resist all attempts to separate ISLAM from ILORIN or impose non-Islamic values on us.
We have not come against you, don’t come against us. Do yours within your jurisdiction and don’t encroach on our holy jurisdiction.
We know this is a war against Islam and we caution all involved to stop. We know the conspirators have always come against Islam and they will always come against Islam. Their great grand fathers, the Jahiliyyahs also came against Islam but they all perished. All the descendants of the Jahiliyyahs now coming against Islam, whoever they are, wherever they are, and whatever they are doing, under whatever covering you are hiding, either you attack Islam openly or hiding under any cover, all of you too will perish. Islam preceded you, it will live after you.
Islam is the first and the only acceptable religion of Allah. It was the only religion practiced by the Prophets of Allah – Prophets Adam, Ibrahim, Musa, Issah, Ismail, Nuhu and Muhammed Rasullullahi Sallalahu Allehi Wasalam.
For the authority, the time to rein in the agitators is now. The flame of chaos these anti-Islam antagonists are fueling will be difficult to extinguish when it finally engulfs. Let’s quench it before it becomes an inferno.
If you don’t know the dangerous implications of what you are all doing, let me tell you – with your actions, words and utterances, supporting anti-Islam rhetorics and supporting the ignoramus destroying and desecrating the Holy Qur’an, you are all inadvertently declaring war against Islam and Muslims. A rebellion that comes with consequences. The Muslims all over the world will resist your incursions. We will fight your attacks and we will defeat your insurrection against Islam. We have defeated those before you and we will defeat you too. This is a warning if only you can heed.
To the grey buggers, the rabble-rousers and the opportunistic pontificators, I urge you all to read the Holy Qur’an very well, understand Islam and allow peace to reign. You might think God does not exist or that you have a deity crafted from wood which you call god, nobody cares what you believe or don’t believe for as long as you don’t try to denigrate Islam. Whether you believe in Islam or not, the day will come that you will stand before Allah Who created everything and will account for your birth, growth, death and deeds. Then, you will know the difference between mortal and immortal. Allah is Supreme
ILORIN is ISLAM, and ISLAM is ILORIN. If you think you are all aiming to fight ILORIN, you are mistaking. A war declared against ILORIN is a war against ISLAM. Look before you leap. Your forefathers failed at this. You will fail at this. Don’t start what your generation cannot finish. Don’t you start what will consume the remnants of your renegades against Islam. Humanity needs peace. Islam is the religion of peace and it preaches peace all the time. Allow ISLAM to breathe or you become the carbon dioxide.
To the Jahiliyyahs, don’t come after ISLAM or else you will all perish.
ALLAH IS HERE.
