The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has provided $47 million in humanitarian aid to support 98 different projects across Nigeria in 2024. The projects focus on supporting displaced persons, improving healthcare, enhancing education, and empowering communities.
In Kwara State, KSrelief partnered with Abubakr A-Sidiq Philanthropic Home to provide essential resources to vulnerable groups. The partnership provided 10 tons of food items, 1,000 textbooks, 5,000 exercise books, and 50 laptops for digital education. Additionally, the program covered school fees for children, vocational training for 150 youths, and financial aid for orphanages.
The initiative was commended by Kwara State Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Afees Abolore, who represented Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq. The event was attended by prominent religious and community leaders, who praised KSrelief’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s vulnerable communities.
