As the whole world celebrates this year’s Eid-El-Fitr – marking the end of a month-long Ramadan Fast, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has called on all muslims to rededicate themselves anew to the service of God and humanity; adding that the essence of fasting annually is to purify the true believers for service to mankind.
In its Sallah Message to all Nigerians, the Group in its message signed by its National Coordinator Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim, stated that it was part of Allah’s design to be merciful to the human-race by granting us forgiveness after fasting holistically – pointing-out that warding-off satanic influences after Ramadan till the next Ramadan is a renewed-life of purification which should be maintained throughout our lives for gaining paradise on the Day of Judgement by true believers.
On charity, the Group appealed to individuals and Groups not to stop their charitable activities after this Ramadan, but to sustain it stating that part of what Ramadan has come to teach is ‘ sustainable act of charity’ to the poor and the needy especially widows and orphans as well as other less-privieged.
On the Incoming Administration of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the Group called on all Nigerians irrespective of religious, ethnic and political differences to be prayerful for its success adding that the Nation deserves a better-deal from their Leaders.
The Group called on the President-Elect to let his Administration dwell promptly as soon as assumption of office on sustainable supply of electricity, sustainable turn-around maintenance and operation of the Nation’s Refineries and renewed onslaught against corruption.
Finally, the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria (MMWG) appealed to all its members across the Federation to turn-out in large numbers at its fourth-coming National Conference scheduled for Ilorin – Kwara State between Friday 12th May and Sunday 14th May, 2023.
